Dryer Heating Element 279838

Description

Dryer heating element. If your dryer does not heat at all, the element could be one of several issues.

1. Remove and inspect the element, if there is a break in the coil or if there is no continuity (when checked with a multi meter) the element is bad and must be replaced. If you do not have a multi meter we would me happy to check the element for you, if you can bring it into the store. There is also a High Limit Switch and a Thermal Fuse attached to the tube that could also be at fault. 2. Check both the High Limit and Thermal Fuse for continuity with a Multi Meter or Continuity Tester. It is Highly recommended that if the Fuse is bad, change both the High Limit and the Fuse as the fuse should not go bad if the high limit did it’s job.
