In 1954 from the basement of its founder, Chris Christopherson, our company has grown to become the leader in the Black Hills for electronic components, computer networking supplies, precision tools, and appliance parts. From its inception Chris Supply has relied on three basic tenets as its foundation: Knowledgeable staff, Competitive Pricing, Promptness and Accuracy. These guiding principles aren’t just words, they are the goal that each employee strives for on a daily basis.In 1980, Chris Supply took its philosophy to Gillette, Wyoming, opening a second store to serve that region more effectively. The two stores worked together to serve their two distinct areas in ways in which can only happen at a local, community connected business. In 2017, the Gillette location closed its doors, but the Rapid City location continues to serve the Gillette area the best way it can. It has often been said that if Chris Supply can’t find it, it probably doesn’t exist, and that is true in many ways. The staff is constantly researching new products in order to meet the needs that other businesses can’t or won’t.Chris Supply works with other local businesses to ensure customers get the products and services they require even if it means sending customers to others. The customer’s needs are always the priority, and if Chris Supply can’t help, the staff will find other businesses that can. In 1992, the company made another big step toward assisting its customers by joining the Edge Group. By joining Edge, Chris Supply has been able to have access to even more product lines, and can offer better pricing options to its customers.Into the future, the company will continue to meet the needs of its customers wherever that may lead, because we want every customer who leaves the store to be able to say, “I found it at Chris Supply!”
